Ok. How do I mark quilts and what do I do to get rid of the marks? I like the blue line (brand of) markers or fine line Japanese chacopa brand. You can effectively remove these marks by neutralizing them with water and baking soda. The baking soda neutralizes the ph of the marker and usually prevents a return. Full immersion of the quilt and multiple rinses is the official way to deal with these marks, but sometimes (a LOT of times) that isn’t realistic. In those cases I like a fine mist spray,
