A 71-year-old father was nearly beaten to death while walking his dog. In Phoenix, Arizona, Jeff Zimmerman was attacked by a stranger on a bike. The attack was so brutal that it left Zimmerman with severe head injuries, multiple broken bones and trauma to his right eye. The injuries compounded Zimmerman’s ongoing treatment for a brain tumor.
