Another day out on the line. 🪓 Since July 26th, the San Diego @californiaconservationcorps Crew has been assigned to the Oak Fire near Yosemite National Park. This has been the Corpsmembers first out of county assignment for the season. Most of their assignments have been to improve handline around the burn, mopping up, and verifying if line has been established around islands of unburned fuel. Our City's Urban Forestry Program is committed to increasing San Diego's tree canopy cover! The San Diego Unit recently completed a multiple day prescribed burn of 220 acres in the community of Pine Valley.
