Jan 31, 2025 · It's not a version/port of any other Ridge Racer, it was a completely new game outsourced to Nintendo Software Technology. It's not made by Namco, doesn't feature any Namco car designs or music and has a very different art style so it doesn't feel like a Ridge Racer game in a lot of ways.

Jul 13, 2024 · Not sure if it was mentioned in this video, but Ridge Racer on Vita actually had playable Daytona cars and a Daytona track in it - as well as music. Besides the 30fps and the way the game was divided into a hundred pieces of DLC, Ridge Racer on Vita was underrated. It did a lot of neat little innovative things with regards to online play.

Apr 11, 2021 · As fun as Ridge Racer V is, OutRun 2 / 2006 is an All-Time-Great arcade racer that will (probably) not be surpassed any time soon, since the market changed so much. If you can get the PC-Version of 2006, it's easily moddable to 4K@60 and plays perfectly with an analogue controller.

Dec 13, 2024 · The first game from 1995 was very much a Ridge Racer like for DOS PCs. Very good though, and the graphics are a real vibe nowadays. It's the look countless folks try to imitate but don't quite get. Screamer 2 went more in a Sega Rally ish direction - and was hard as balls. The game kicked your f'n butt to hell and back. Pretty awesome too though.

Aug 3, 2018 · Ridge Racer Type 4 and WipeOut 2097...these absolutely were my jam back in the days. Both still hold up especially RRT4...I just wish there was a way to use a NegCon with any present console or emulator.
