TORONTO — The Toronto International Film Festival is the clean-up hitter of the fall festival circuit. Coming on the heels of Venice and Telluride, Toronto tends to pull together many of the top films from those festivals, as well as a whole bunch more.

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has revealed that “hundreds” of threats made against staff led to the festival taking the unprecedented decision to pull controversial documentary Russians at War from the line-up last week – including threats of violence and sexual assault.

In the glistening CN Tower, cinema lovers flocked to King Street once again for the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. Highly-anticipated titles such as Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis,” Luca Guadagnino’s “Queer” and Ron Howard’s “Eden” brought the stars to the red carpet and were the talks of the festival.
