The Liberty (32-7) secured the top spot Tuesday night by beating the Washington Mystics 87-71. This is the first time New York claimed the No. 1 seed since the 2015 WNBA playoffs, which used a different format with top seeds from the Eastern and Western Conferences.

With Tuesday night’s 87-71 win over the Washington Mystics, New York secured homecourt advantage throughout the 2024 WNBA Postseason.

The Minnesota Lynx clinched the No. 2 seed with their victory over Connecticut. Minnesota is the hottest team right now winning 13 of 14 since the Olympic break. They’ll face Phoenix in the opening round of the playoffs which begin Sunday.
