Madison took home a BAFTA for Best Actress for her portrayal of the exotic dancer Anora and was also nominated at the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards and Academy Awards. Speaking with the Los Angeles Times in December about how her life has changed since her rise to fame, the star admitted, “I think some of it doesn’t seem super genuine.”

Mikey Madison is having her breakout year. The actor earned her first Oscar nomination playing the titular character in Sean Baker's movie "Anora," also up for best picture. In the lead-up to the Oscars on March 2, she won the BAFTA for lead actress. Madison thanked director Baker, her co-stars and her mom in her speech.
