According to the National Park Service, fireworks on the National Mall are set to begin at 9 p.m. local time on July 4. The park service provided a map of the National Mall that shows the various access points to watch the fireworks, as well as restrooms and food service, among others.

D.C. crews rescued five people after a boat capsized in the Potomac River on the Fourth of July. In a post on the X platform just after 10:30 p.m., the DC Fire and EMS Department said five men were rescued after a boat overturned in the river near the Washington Monument.
