The Nobel Prize in chemistry is being awarded Wednesday, a day after two artificial intelligence pioneers won the physics award.The Nobel committee at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences is set to announce the chemistry prize late morning.

David Baker, Demis Hassabis, and John M Jumper have been awarded the 2024 Nobe Prize for Chemistry. The 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded in one half to Baker “for computational protein design” and the second half jointly to Hassabis and Jumper “for protein structure prediction”, said the Nobel Prize committee on Wednesday.

David Baker of the University of Washington, Seattle, USA, was awarded the prestigious Nobel Prize in Chemistry "for computational protein design," while Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper of Google DeepMind, London, UK, were awarded "for protein structure prediction."
