In the season 7 finale, the Frasers end up taking in Fanny (Florrie Wilkinson) after William (Charles Vandervaart) vainly attempts to save Jane (Silvia Presente) from the gallows, only to find that she's killed herself in her jail cell. Jamie and Claire agree to bring Fanny back to the Ridge with them and care for her as their own.

For those who have yet to tune in, now is a good time to turn back, because we’re about to delve into one of the show’s biggest spoilers to date. The finale teased that Jamie ( Sam Heughan) and Claire’s ( Caitriona Balfe) first daughter, Faith, may have actually lived despite being stillborn in Season 2’s aptly titled installment, “Faith.”

The show did get renewed for an eighth season (YAY!) but…it’ll be its last (not yay). Starz announced in January that it’ll be wrapping up the Outlander story with season 8, which means the network will figure out how to end the show without knowing how the book series ends, à la Game of Thrones (here’s hoping they pull off a better ending though.)
