The 2024 FHSAA high school football playoffs began last week with seven Sarasota, Manatee county teams starting their quest for a state title. As we kick off tonight's regional semifinals, four area teams remain . All four teams, Manatee, Venice, Booker and Cardinal Mooney will host home games tonight.

The rest of Friday night's playoff games featured high-powered matchups across Florida from Tampa and Orlando to Jacksonville and Tallahassee. Some of the state's biggest recruits squared off in the regional semifinals.
