Shelton cleaned up at the People's Choice Awards this year, winning overall Favorite Album as well as Favorite Male Country Artist. He also performed his single "Every Time I Hear That Song" on the awards show stage as Stefani watched from the audience.

Among the headline acts for the show at the Kia Forum is No Doubt, led by Gwen Stefani, which formed in Anaheim in 1986. Before FireAid, the band has only performed once — a reunion at Coachella in April 2024 — since going on hiatus in 2015.
