The Tahoe Z71 established itself as a fan favorite model ahead of this mid-cycle refresh, owing largely to both gruff styling tweaks and off-pavement capabilities. It's no Wrangler alternative, but the Z71 has enough hardware underneath it to get owners to off-pavement campsites and hiking trails across the country.

The Chevrolet Suburban/Tahoe siblings return to the winner’s circle this year as the Best Full-Size SUV in the 2025 AutoTrader Awards. The Suburban/Tahoe won this award last year as well, after our jury of more than 20 automotive experts considered every SUV available for Canadians to buy in this segment and voted the Chevrolet Suburban/Tahoe as the best SUV in this segment. It represents an SUV we can confidently recommend as a best buy. It’s almost hard to believe that the 2025 Suburban/Tahoe is the 12th-generation version of this massive SUV, which proves that Chevrolet must have a winning formula since consumers keep coming back for more, generation after generation. In fact, Chevrolet’s first Suburban rolled off of the assembly line in 1935, which means that this popular nameplate is now 90 years old and counting. The Tahoe is a big vehicle, and the Suburban is even bigger. Big and brawny, these are the SUVs of choice when you need lots of space for passengers and all their stuff. These SUVs can seat as many as eight passengers with plenty of room for all. Even with all three rows in use, the Tahoe still has 722 L of cargo space behind the third row, while the larger Suburban offers an enormous 1,175 L. These SUVs are also great for towing, with the Tahoe offering a max towing capacity of 3,810 kg (8,400 lbs) and the Suburban offering 3,720 kg (8,200 lbs). Moreover, to make trailering as easy and as safe as possible, Chevrolet offers a number of technologies and features for these trucks. Besides a high-capacity radiator and cooling fan, Suburban/Tahoe drivers can take advantage of an integrated trailer brake controller and a hitch view camera system that shows a close-up view of the trailer hitch to more easily align the vehicle with the trailer. Chevrolet is introducing even more technologies for those who enjoy trailering, including a trailer tire life monitoring system, forward path lines on the surround view screens, and a boat ramp assist feature that offers step-by-step instructions to help you tow, launch, and retrieve a boat. Ideal for towing, Chevrolet’s new diesel engine for Tahoe/Suburban offers efficient and strong pulling power. First introduced on the Silverado 1500, the new 3.0L turbo-diesel engine is rated at 305 hp, 495 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Both vehicles are also available with a gasoline-powered 355-hp 5.3L V8 and a gasoline-powered 420-hp 6.2L V8. These massive SUVs, with their extra-long wheelbases, offer a smooth and refined ride, especially when equipped with the available Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and Magnetic Ride Control system. The interior is quiet and inviting, and features an all-new standard 17.7-inch infotainment screen paired with an 11-inch driver information centre display. Besides an array of safety and driver assistance features, the Suburban/Tahoe is available with noteworthy security features like connected cameras, which tap into the truck’s network of cameras to allow the owner to remotely view the interior and exterior of the vehicle, including 360-degree views of the exterior. It can also be used for automatic crash recording, security recording, live view, and dashcam recordings. With a refreshed exterior, an updated passenger cabin, new technologies, and a new diesel engine option, these big SUVs stand out from the competition and are worth considering if you’re in the market for a really big and really capable SUV.
Every last tidbit of news about the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is as jaw-dropping as the last.
