South Carolina football picked up its fifth-straight win, defeating Wofford 56-12 in the final home game of the season.

The Gamecocks are riding high after surviving a battle with Missouri 34-30 to lock in a third win in a row against a ranked opponent. The victory locked in the program’s first winning SEC season since 2017 and second since 2013. Barring a disaster against Wofford, the Gamecocks will have eight wins heading into the Clemson game.

Of all the things that happened on Saturday, South Carolina’s Week 13 matchup against Wofford seemed to be at the lower end of the pecking order. It was easy to get lost in what else was going on that day.
