Roy Rogers has closed its sole Greater Cincinnati location after less than two years in business. The franchise's Cleves restaurant, at 151 Cooper Ave., opened in February 2023 returning to the Cincinnati area the Western-themed fast-food chain, named after the Cincinnati-born singer and actor.

The acquisition is Mohamed Haque's seventh Roy Rogers restaurant, with three in Alexandria, Virginia, and four in suburban Maryland.

Roy Rogers Restaurants announces the acquisition of its corporate location in Waldorf, Maryland by successful Multi-Unit Franchisee and long-time Roy Rogers partner, Mohammed Haque. This acquisition marks Haque's seventh Roy Rogers restaurant, with three locations in Alexandria, Virginia, and four in suburban Maryland.

Roy Rogers opened its first area location in 10 years, in Cleves, in early 2023. It will rebrand with plans to reopen in late October.
