WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, West Virginia – The LSU Tigers, down 38-18, 18 minutes into the contest, rallied to force overtime and in their first triple overtime game since 2013, and outscored UCF, 16-9, in the final five minutes to win 109-102 in the third-place game of the Greenbrier Tipoff at Colonial Hall at The Greenbrier Sunday evening.

LSU basketball lost its opening game of the Greenbrier Tip-Off, but the Tigers still salvaged their stay in West Virginia with a win over the UCF Knights on Sunday afternoon. In a thrilling, three-overtime affair, it was LSU (5-1) who pulled off the comeback of the season over UCF (4-2), 109-102.

LSU stormed back from an 18 point deficit with 13 minutes left in regulation to win 109-102 in a triple-overtime thriller on Sunday evening against UCF in West Virginia. It was the Tigers’ second game of the Greenbriar Classic Tournament and the win moves Matt McMahon’s team to 5-1 on the season and now 2-0 against Big 12 teams this year with neither win coming at home.
