Kolkata: Junior Doctors front have announced to call off their strike regarding the RG Kar College rape and murder incident on September 19. The doctors will return to their work from1. Emergency services will resume but OPD services will remain suspended.

Junior doctors in Bengal have decided to end their large-scale protest over the rape and murder of a fellow doctor at a hospital in Kolkata. They announced that they will return to work on Saturday, although with a condition: they will not participate in OPD services or attend elective operations.

Protesting junior doctors have decided to call off their strike on Friday after West Bengal chief secretary Manoj Pant assured safety and security implementations.
