Aam Aadmi Party MLA Atishi will take oath as the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi on Saturday. New members of the Cabinet will also take oath with her.

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal resigned as the Delhi chief minister on Tuesday. Kejriwal met Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena and submitted his resignation. Atishi, who accompanied Kejriwal, staked a claim to form the next government in Delhi soon after.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday reacted to the AAP's decision to appoint Atishi as the new Chief Minister of the national capital, saying that the public of Delhi is very troubled by the AAP government and that there is a strong desire among the public to oust the AAP from power.

Atishi has been announced Arvind Kejriwal's successor and will now be the Chief Minister of Delhi. Kejriwal is set to resign after 4.30 pm today.
