HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Raiders coach Antonio Pierce used a profanity Monday morning to describe the season’s first half, but with a week off to contemplate all that went wrong, his attention turns to finding hope over his team’s final eight games.

Pierce seems to be on a ship that's sinking for reasons that go beyond any mistakes he's made on game days since September.

After firing offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and two other assistant coaches, the Raiders continue to retool their staff by bringing on Norv Turner.

The Las Vegas Raiders are hiring Norv Turner as an assistant, NFL Network reported Tuesday. He is joining the Raiders as his son, Scott, reportedly is in the mix to be calling the offensive plays when the team returns from its bye week.
