The New York Mets signed Jusn Soto to a historic 15-year, $765 million deal this offseason. However, they could still make some moves before Opening Day.

Bednar's projected market value, if the Mets were to choose to extend him, is six years, $87 million, per Spotrac. Depending on the timing of the trade, that could look like either a slight or a massive overpay, if it's the actual dollar amount of the extension he receives.

Most of the focus has been on the type of offseason the Los Angeles Dodgers have had thus far, but the New York Mets have been active in their own right. They won the Juan Soto sweepstakes and also have added several pitchers to their mix.
