The traditional National Signing Day on the first Wednesday in February is an opportunity for Nashville area high school football players to finalize their commitments to colleges. Although a number of players signed in December, there are still some talented Class of 2025 players left unsigned.

National Signing Day is right around the corner, and the Nashville area will have a large group of TSSAA football players sign with colleges. While a number of the top Tennessee high school football stars signed in December during the early period, a lot of athletes are still locking in their college choices.

The chairman of the NHL's Nashville Predators and his wife want to bring the WNBA to Music City and have teamed up with a star-filled investor group including Candace Parker, Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning and entertainers Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

Haslam and a group of investors are submitting an expansion bid to bring Nashville a WNBA team, called the Tennessee Summitt. The bid will be submitted on Thursday afternoon to WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert and the league’s expansion committee. If successful, the franchise would begin play in the summer of 2028 at Bridgestone Arena.
