Jontay Porter appears to have been texting bettors in the middle of games he was playing in, according to a court excerpt that was released this week. The disgraced former Toronto Raptors forward Porter was the subject of a new filing by the federal government in his fraud case.

It was revealed that Jontay Porter was contacting the bettors during the Raptors game to tell them that he wasn't going to play anymore.

Hennen is the sixth person charged in the alleged betting scheme involving Porter, and along with Hennen’s arrest, federal authorities disclosed a text message Porter sent explaining how, during a Jan. 22, 2024, game against the Memphis Grizzlies, he planned to take himself out of the game.
