The Dallas Cowboys hired Brian Schottenheimer as their next head coach. Schottenheimer is bringing Matt Eberflus onto his staff as the defensive coordinator.

Andre Curtis, Dave Borgonzi and Aaron Whitecotton are slated to work closely with DC Matt Eberflus after joining Dallas’ staff.

Dallas has also hired Nick Sorenson to serve as special teams coordinator under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

Now, it is time for his staff to come together. NFL insider Ed Werder initially reported former Cowboys assistant Matt Eberflus was hired as defensive coordinator. Werder would retract that report later, noting, as Jane Slater did initially, that Eberflus is "held in high regard" for the position, but has not been hired yet.
