Last year, it was the Monkey D. Luffy balloon deflating in the middle of the parade, much to the chagrin of One Piece fans everywhere. This year? Aside from the rain, the biggest left turn we’ve gotten so far has been the Bluey balloon popping before the parade. On Wednesday, the character’s balloon popped when the balloons were being inflated.

For spectators who want to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons without the same crowds (and rain) that are likely on Thursday, the balloon inflation on Wednesday afternoon is always a popular option.
