Hyundai , Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors used the India auto show to unveil ambitious plans to expand their electric vehicle charging network to address the issues that are putting customers off making the switch.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited, which announced its entry into India's EV market, said that the company will be exporting its Made in India EVs to over 100 countries in the world, Toshihiro Suzuki, Representative Director & President,

Suzuki Motor Corp. said that India will be the key export hub for its electric vehicles, hybrids, and small cars.

Automakers operating in India plan to launch close to a dozen new electric car models this year, many in the premium market, with longer driving ranges and faster charging times, to attract buyers as demand for EVs slows down globally.
