Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard give perfect performances in 'Death Becomes Her,' the hilarious new musical which opened Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City, based on the 1992 film.

When the new musical Death Becomes Her opened on an appropriately dark and stormy night at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre this week, it instantly added to the Broadway canon two sublime dueling-diva turns from two preternaturally gifted comediennes: Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard.

“Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Viola sings (backed up by her ever-present chorus of “immortals” attired by costume designer Paul Tazewell in stunning flesh-toned body suits tattoo-striped with glittery, purple swirls).

Tony nominees Megan Hilty (“Wicked”), Jennifer Simard (“Company”), and Christopher Sieber (“Spamalot”) star in “Death Becomes Her” on Broadway.
