The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants Thursday for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant, Israel’s former defense minister who oversaw much of the war in Gaza.

AMSTERDAM, Nov 21 (Reuters) - The International Criminal Court in The Hague said on Thursday that it had issued warrants for the arrest of Hamas leader Mohammed Diab Ibrahim Al-Masri (also known as Mohammed Deif) and Israel's President Benjamin Netanyahu and its former defence minister Yoav Gallant.

The court alleged the Israeli prime minister and former defense minister committed war crimes and crimes against humanity during the offensive in the Gaza Strip.

The leaders are accused of crimes against humanity and war crimes over the war in Gaza and the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel.
