Sean Dyche says Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite and Dwight McNeil set to be available against Brentford
Everton manager Sean Dyche expects key duo Jarrad Branthwaite and Dwight McNeil to be available for Saturday’s game against Brentford. The pair have both been nursing injuries in recent weeks, with Branthwaite withdrawing from the England squad due to a “minor” groin problem and McNeil having missed Everton’s 0-0 draw at West Ham before the break with a knee issue.
Dwight McNeil and Jarrad Branthwaite injury latest ahead of Everton vs Brentford
McNeil missed the goalless draw with West Ham last time out due to a knee problem, while Branthwaite did play in that match but pulled out of international duty with England due to a minor groin issue. It seems likely that both will be involved at Goodison Park on Saturday at 3pm when the Toffees host the Bees, though.
Everton line-ups for Brentford as Jarrad Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson decisions made
Having Harrison and McNeil back out wide should boost both full backs and allow them to get forward more, in turn creating more space for them, all without huge defensive sacrifices. Idrissa Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucoure are then my defensive core in the middle that free up Ndiaye to have a roaming role behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
