David Coote is making headlines for obvious reasons. Regarded as one of the Premier League’s most experienced referees, the 42-year-old has been suspended by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) after a video surfaced allegedly showing him making derogatory remarks about Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp.

PGMOL, the refereeing body for English football, has said that the investigation into Premier League referee David Coote is continuing and he remains suspended pending the outcome of the disciplinary process.
