Mukesh Kumar Ahlawat, a first-time MLA from the reserved constituency of Sultanpur Majra, will be the only new face in the council of ministers headed by Atishi, Delhi's CM designate, when it is sworn in on Saturday.

Mukesh Ahlawat, who is likely to handle the Social Welfare portfolio in CM Atishi's cabinet, is a first-time MLA.

THE Atishi-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi will have a new minister, Mukesh Kumar Ahlawat, the MLA from Sultanpur Majra. Ahlawat incidentally is a former BSP leader who fills the vacancy created in the Delhi government by the resignation and defection of one of its ministers to the BSP.

The Aam Aadmi Party has retained its four ministers and added Sultanpur Majra MLA Mukesh Ahlawat to the Cabinet. Atishi will be sworn in as Delhi's new chief minister on Saturday. Arvind Kejriwal stepped down following his release from jail,

Mukesh Ahlawat will fill the vacancy created in the previous Cabinet following the resignation of social welfare minister Raaj Kumar Anand in May

Mukesh Ahlawat, the AAP MLA from Sultanpur Majra, is set to join the new Delhi cabinet led by Atishi. The induction takes place on September 21, following Arvind Kejriwal's resignation.

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) party had initially decided that only Atishi would be sworn in, however, it was later determined that her council of ministers would also take the oath.
