More than a dozen sloths imported to Orlando for a planned International Drive attraction called Sloth World, are now in the care of animal experts at Central Florida Zoo & Biological Gardens, following revelations this week that concerning conditions at the I-Drive facility are believed to have caused many animal deaths.
The warehouse on International Drive where 31 sloths intended for Sloth World Orlando reportedly died was not permitted to have animals or wildlife of any kind, FOX 35 has learned.
The Central Florida Zoo in Sanford says 13 sloths are in quarantine, with some expected to need long-term specialized care.
