LG plans to launch its brightest-ever OLED screen later this year. A new internal structure enables the fourth-gen panel to achieve a maximum brightness of 4,000

The fourth-generation panel, capable of hitting 4,000 nits, is already in some of 2025’s most anticipated TVs including the LG G5 and Panasonic’s Z95B.

LG has unveiled the next generation of its OLED technology, which it says is brighter and more energy efficient than ever.

Also featuring in Panasonic’s impressive upcoming Z95B, the new panel achieves a peak brightness of 4000 nits – marking a 33 per cent increase over its predecessor – through a redesigned four-layer structure, dubbed the Primary RGB Tandem structure.
