Frigid temperatures and dangerous wind chills will give way to snow across western Maine heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Gray. Wind chills early Thursday dropped to between -5 and -15 degrees across the region,

More snow is on the way to Maine for Friday evening, although there is still a lot of uncertainty on the extent of the snowfall. Cold air then moves in to start the weekend ahead of more snow Sunday night.
