E very year, I look forward to ringing in the spooky season by visiting Universal Studios’ annual Halloween Horror Nights event. As a fan of horror movies, it’s always a blast

There are four free dance nights at Marina del Rey's Burton Chace Park, with the first one, devoted to Salsa, twirling on Sept. 6. The Waterbus is running later, too, on each Friday in September, sweet.

Guests can visit 10 new haunted houses, some based on familiar properties like the post-apocalyptic “A Quiet Place” or “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” plus new and nostalgic originals like Major Sweets Candy Factory and Monstrous: The Monsters of Latin America.

Hollywood is getting in the Halloween spirit. The Horror Nights attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood drew filmmakers including "Borderlands" director Eli Roth and "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" director Gil Kenan.
