The studio hasn't been able to claim this feat since 2019, with its tentpole 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' easily dominating the long holiday weekend as 'Anaconda,' 'Marty Supreme' and 'Song Sung Blue' join the box office buffet on Christmas Day.

Disney bought the theme park rights to the Avatar franchise way back in 2011, two years after the first film became the highest-grossing movie ever made. Construction began on a theme park land at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World back in 2014, and a little over three years later, the land opened to much fanfare.
Fire and Ash was the highest-grossing film at the box office this weekend with $88 million worth of movie tickets sold in the US and Canada.
