In a Sena vs Sena contest in Mumbai's Worli assembly seat, Uddhav Thackeray's Aaditya Thackeray defeated Milind Deora of the Shinde faction, securing the seat for the Thackeray-led Sena.

Deora was chosen to contest from high-profile seat because Shinde did not want Thackeray to have a cakewalk, it is learnt. Thackeray's margin has come down drastically from 2019.

Historically, the Congress held a stronghold in Worli, but Shiv Sena regained control in the 2014 elections and retained the seat in the 2019 Assembly elections.
