BLOOMINGTON, IND. — JuJu Watkins scored 22 points and Rayah Marshall added 13 points and 10 rebounds to help the No. 4-ranked USC women’s basketball team overcome an 11-point deficit and hold on for a 73-66 victory over Indiana in a Big 10 Conference showdown on Sunday.

The Trojans (16-1; 6-0) came into the game as one of three unbeaten teams in the Big Ten (UCLA and Ohio State) with an average margin of victory in conference play of 21.6 points. This was their first game in Bloomington and only the second-ever matchup between the programs.

But the Hoosiers failed to do the latter as they went on a field goal drought that lasted nearly six and half minutes in the fourth quarter. Although Indiana knocked down six free throws during the dry spell, USC scored 19 points, which allowed it to build an insurmountable gap.

USC, after a week off, was not at its very best, but the Trojans regrouped in the fourth quarter to fend off Indiana and stay unbeaten in the Big Ten.

Indiana outrebounded USC 13-9, gave up 7 fastbreak points and did not allow the Trojans to get to the free-throw line. The Hoosiers pulled within 1 point of the Trojans at the end of the third quarter, putting them in position to make a run in the fourth quarter.
