Disturbing allegations about the conditions inside a Butterball turkey facility from 2006 resurfaced on social media in 2024.

This Thanksgiving Butterball is the one getting cooked. Scripps News reported, an old video of Butterball employees physically and sexually abusing live turkeys resurfaced last week -- courtesy of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

Both the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) also confirm that there are no active recalls on Butterball turkeys this Thanksgiving season. So rest assured, if you’re serving Butterball to your family, the only meat inside of it should be the neck and giblets.

Butterball told USA TODAY the video is from 2006 and also said there are no current Butterball turkey recalls.
