Oscar-nominated actor Andra Day has been tapped to play Athena, the Greek Goddess of Wisdom and Annabeth’s mom, in the upcoming second season of Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The casting was reveiled at D23 in Brazil with a video of Day in character posted across the show’s social media accounts.

Fallout and Percy Jackson and the Olympians are returning for their second seasons next year, and both have big new additions to their casts.
