I’ve already published my full Season 2 (spoiler-free) review. Now, we can dive into each individual episode as they stream every Friday. There’s so much to unpack in each one, I really can’t wait! Let’s start with a brief recap of where we left off back at the end of Season 1.

It's almost time to clock back in at Lumon for "Severance" Season 2. The series picks back up where Mark and the other members of the Macrodata Refinement team left off, as they deal with the consequences of using the overtime contingency to explore the world outside the severed floor and warn people of what it's actually like working for Lumon.

After its highly-anticipated second season premiere of the Apple TV+ series, there's plenty to puzzle over among the employees of Lumon.

Severance season 2 is finally back after three years, and it was well worth the wait. The Apple TV+ workplace drama—which explores an alternate reality where one can physically separate their personal life from their work life—successfully builds upon the first season while recapturing the thrilling twists of its memorable season 1 finale.

The first season ended on a major cliffhanger, and three years on we are about to get some follow-up as to what happened next to Mark, Helly, Dylan and Irving, as played by Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry and John Turturro.

While “Severance” has a wonderfully creepy-compelling premise, it’s a concept better suited to a movie than a multi-episode TV series.

Fortunately, “Severance” returns to Apple TV+ on Friday, and its makers seem to have used every second of the absence productively. The season takes new turns while remaining the most ambitious, batty and all-out pleasurable show on TV, an M.C. Escher maze whose plot convolutions never get in the way of its voice, heart and sense of humor.
