England all-rounder Liam Livingstone was acquired by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for a whopping Rs 8.75 crore during the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday.

Livingstone started his IPL career with Rajasthan Royals in 2019, but it was with PBKS that he really came into his own. He displayed his phenomenal hitting prowess by scoring 437 runs at a stunning strike rate of 182.08. There's no denying that this performance was instrumental in catching RCB's eye during the auction.

Livingstone was picked by Punjab Kings (PBKS) before IPL 2022. He experienced his breakout season in the league that year, scoring 437 runs and hitting the longest six of the tournament of 117 metres.

Livingstone put his brute hitting ability on display during the 2022 season, scoring 437 runs at a whopping strike rate of 182.08.
