Master Collection Vol. 1 was a cool idea that didn’t live up to its promise when it arrived in August 2023. Missing features, adding frustrating bugs, and lacking upgrades across certain platforms made it feel like a lackluster port of all-time classics.

Coming in at a little more than two minutes, this new Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater puts some of the game's remade (and iconic) cutscenes front and center. Most of what's shown here has been pulled from the early hours of Snake Eater and provides our best looks yet at The Boss,

Konami has released a chunky PC patch for the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 which brings it to version 2.0.0. The Metal Gear Solid website said the patch is currently only available on PC via Steam but coming to other platforms at a later date.

But the best was yet to come. Konami's just released 2.0 patches for MGS2 and 3, adding new internal resolution and upscaling options that make the games a lot less muddy on modern displays. In other words, the studio has done what has been the work of dedicated modders up to now.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 includes remasters of the first three games in the series, and although the games included in the second collection haven't been confirmed, recently Konami strongly suggested Metal Gear Solid 4 will finally escape its 18-year prison sentence on the PS3.
