A college student in the US was using Google’s AI chatbot Gemini when it unexpectedly told him to “die". Vidhay Reddy, 29, was doing his college homework with Gemini’s help when he was met with the disturbing response. Vidhay described the experience as “scary", adding that it continued to bother him for more than a day.

Vidhay Reddy, a graduate student from Michigan, received a chilling response from Google’s Gemini Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot while discussing challenges faced by older adults on Nov. 13. According to the company,
