A company selling electric guitars "endorsed" by Donald Trump got hit with a cease and desist letter this week by Gibson as its design allegedly mirrors the "iconic Les Paul body shape," the manufacturer says.

First reported by Guitar World the cease and desist letter reportedly alleges the design of the Trump guitars “infringes upon Gibson’s exclusive trademarks, particularly the iconic Les Paul body shape.” Gibson didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.

The guitars are only the latest attempt by Trump to hawk items with his name on them, and being elected president hasn’t stopped his efforts. In the past year, Trump has sold branded Bibles, sneakers, watches, NFT cards, items commemorating the first assassination attempt against him, and even fragrances celebrating his election victory.
