Hitting out at the DMK over the elevation of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's son Udayanidhi as the state’s deputy chief minister, Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) on Sunday said that Tamil Nadu's ruling party's sole focus is on corruption and the progress of the family of its leadership.

BJP national spokesperson Shezad Poonawalla criticized the INDIA bloc, accusing them of dynastic politics and prioritizing family interests over national welfare. He questioned the promotion of Udhayanidhi Stalin as Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister,

Udhayanidhi would take oath as the Deputy CM on Saturday afternoon. His elevation to the top post came as part of a major cabinet reshuffle in the state government.

BJP spokesperson ANS Prasad criticized Tamil Nadu's ruling DMK, alleging a history of prioritizing family interests over public welfare. He questioned Udhayanidhi Stalin's elevation to Deputy Chief Minister and accused CM Stalin of corruption and nepotism.
