Ex-Red Wings goalie waived for second time this season
Former Detroit Red Wings goaltender James Reimer was waived for the second time this season Tuesday when the Anaheim Ducks placed him on the waiver wire. Reimer, 36, lost both of his starts this season and has posted a 4.50 goals-against average and .864 save percentage.

DETROIT – Detroit Red Wings goaltender Alex Lyon returned to practice Tuesday and appears close to returning to the lineup. Lyon has missed two games with a lower-body injury suffered in practice last week. “Just had a little hiccup there, but feeling better now and body’s good to go and excited and itching to get a start,” Lyon said.
