A man was taken to the hospital after he was shot while trying to flee police in Deptford Township, New Jersey.

The prosecutor’s office says Deptford Township police were called to the Fairfield Inn on Hurffville Road early in the afternoon Thursday. After they arrived, a man jumped from the second floor, eluded the officers and ran to Route 42.

A man was arrested on Thanksgiving after he jumped out of a hotel window in New Jersey and ran away from police officers, officials said.
