The membership warehouse store will be on the street level with 800 units of housing above for families, seniors and others.
That's because South Los Angeles will soon welcome a new 185,000-square-foot Costco that will also be home to 800 apartments.
The mixed-use development will be dedicated to low-income and workforce housing, and will offer a number of luxe amenities.
Crews will break ground Wednesday on a new Costco store that will also bring affordable housing to Los Angeles. The development will be the first of its kind in the country.
