The latest proposal is a climbdown for the PCB, which had earlier threatened to boycott the Champions Trophy 2025 if its hosting rights were not granted in full and India's demand for a neutral venue was accepted.

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi revealed Pakistan's readiness to adopt a hybrid model for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, signaling a step toward resolving the hosting impasse while balancing future tournament considerations amidst India’s refusal to play in Pakistan.
