Mossad and authorities in the Gulf country had opened an investigation into Kogan's disappearance believing it may be related to “a terrorist incident.”

Rabbi Zvi Kogan, 28, was living in Abu Dhabi with his wife as a representative of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.

The Israeli authorities called the killing of the rabbi, Zvi Kogan, an act of terrorism. He had been missing since Thursday.
